Travel Information

Day 1: Arrival in Havana

• Arrival: Fly into José Martí International Airport (HAV) in Havana. We will have our guide pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel (we can also coordinate your flights if helpful).
• Hotel: Stay at Hotel Nacional de Cuba, an iconic luxury hotel overlooking the Malecón with rich history and stunning ocean views.
• Dinner Near Castillo del Morro: Conclude your evening with dinner at a restaurant near Castillo del Morro (El Morro Castle). Enjoy a meal while taking in the panoramic views of the fortress and the entrance to Havana Bay. This iconic spot is perfect for soaking up the historic ambiance and watching the sunset over the water.

Day 2: Explore Havana's Colonial Charm

• Morning: Begin your day with a private walking tour of Old Havana (Habana Vieja). Wander through the cobblestone streets, admire colonial architecture, and visit landmarks like Plaza de la Catedral and Plaza Vieja.
• Activity: Have lunch at Paladar La Guarida, one of Havana’s top private restaurants located in a historic mansion. After lunch, tour the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and experience Cuba’s rich art history.
• Evening: Enjoy a classic car ride along the Malecón at sunset, followed by cocktails at the famous Hotel Ambos Mundos.

Day 3: Cultural Immersion & Hemingway's Havana

• Morning: Visit Finca Vigía, Hemingway's former residence. Explore the writer's preserved home and learn about his life in Cuba.
• Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at Bodeguita del Medio, famous for its mojitos and being a favorite spot of Hemingway’s. Afterward, visit the Morro Castle for stunning views of the city.
• Evening: Take in a lively salsa performance at Café Taberna or enjoy live jazz music at La Zorra y el Cuervo.
• Hotel: Stay at Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

Day 4: Vinales Day Trip

• Morning: Your guide will transport you to the Viñales Valley (approx. 2.5 hours via private shuttle).
• Activity: Explore the picturesque countryside of Viñales, where you will visit tobacco farms and learn about the cigar-making process. Stop at the stunning Mural de la Prehistoria and enjoy a traditional Cuban lunch.
• Evening: Return to Havana for a relaxed evening. Dine at San Cristóbal Paladar, an intimate restaurant frequented by international celebrities.
• Hotel: Stay at Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

Day 5: Relaxation & Cuban Cuisine

• Morning: Spend your morning relaxing by the hotel pool or take a leisurely stroll along the Malecón.
• Afternoon: Indulge in a Cuban cooking class with a local chef, learning how to make traditional dishes like ropa vieja and tostones.
• Evening: After dinner, enjoy a nightcap at La Floridita, another of Hemingway’s favorite spots, known for its daiquiris.
• Hotel: Stay at Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

Day 6: Discover Havana's Art Scene

• Morning: Visit the vibrant Callejón de Hamel, an alleyway filled with colorful murals and Afro-Cuban art. Enjoy a guided tour through the unique street art and music scene.
• Afternoon: Explore the modern side of Havana at the Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC), a converted factory space featuring contemporary art galleries, live performances, and a trendy bar.
• Evening: End your night with a private rooftop dinner overlooking Havana’s skyline, paired with live Cuban music.

Day 7: Departure Day

• Morning: Spend your last morning soaking up the vibrant culture of Havana with a final stroll through the city or some souvenir shopping at Almacenes San José Artisans' Market.
• Afternoon: Transfer to José Martí International Airport for your departure flight, or stay an extra night in Havana if needed.
